The Director of Product Marketing for AV & Speakers is responsible for driving sales adoption of Savant audio, video and speaker solutions across all sales channels. Sales Adoption activities include development and execution of all sales tools and marketing activities as well as product positioning, sales and technical training and product feature feedback into the development team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Drive towards sales adoption across all existing channels of new products and solutions, including the development launch strategies, sales measurements, channel programs and launch promotions.
• Evaluate and execute launch strategies into new channels.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the competitive landscape as well as available market opportunities in existing and new channels.
•Develop product positioning and sales messaging, including internal and external sales and product training.
•Support internal launch activities, including pricing approval, product packaging, product naming and descriptions, community tools, Savant Store presence, etc.
•Understand influencers in the market and how to position the Savant brand and products to support sales growth.
• Achieve sales quotas and activity benchmarks, including quarterly and annual revenue quotas, channel growth and product adoption targets.
•Develop business case for new products and product features, including channel readiness and support requirements, initial 24-month forecast, business priority, etc.
•Drive the development and launch of appropriate product and software training, including in field launch events, online certification training (if required), new product training, feature highlights, etc.
•Support sales teams from all channels in development and execution of field activities, including travel to key regions, identifying and supporting appropriate industry events, etc.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION
•10+ years of experience with the CEDIA Pro Dealer channel, specifier communities, builder and developer markets, specialty audio, etc.
•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or 10+ years of technical sales and product experience
•Strong knowledge of channel sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
•Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Excellent listening skills.
•Excellent computer skills, including programming experience, Keynote proficiency, iPad/iPhone applications, webinar platforms, etc.
•Ability to analyze and adapt business priorities in a fast paced and changing environment
