The Inventory Coordinator will provide support by managing the inventory control operations for the facility. The objective is to achieve efficient and accurate inventory and cycle counts of total inventory, timely material transactions and movements between system and physical locations, and reduced operational costs attributed to inventory loss. This position is responsible for conducting accurate counting of inventory, investigating and resolving shortages or overages, goods movements affecting inventory, and reconciling discrepancies. This role provides a crucial link between Finance, Production, Supply Chain, and Transportation.
•Maintains and updates inventory records.
•Champion of cycle count program; weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
•Interfaces with warehouse operations for incoming material inspections as needed.
•Systematically counts and tracks data for all physical inventory locations as defined in the cycle count program or directed by the Supply Chain Manager.
•Prepares for physical inventory and has as lead inventory oversite.
•Develops and implements efficient inventory management procedures.
•Reconciles inventory discrepancies.
•Reports any stock issues to management and gives recommendations for product orders as necessary.
•Maintains high inventory accuracy for all storage locations with analytical and reconciliation techniques, including audits and annual physical inventory.
•Configures storage locations within the production facility to incorporate the use of detailed bin positions.
•Effectively works with cross-functional team to manage slow moving inventory (SMI) and obsolete inventory, while providing support for the phase in-phase out process of raw materials and finished goods.
•All other duties as assigned.
•Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of education and experience.
•Previous work in a manufacturing environment is required.
•PC experience with Microsoft Office is required; including advanced Excel skills.
•Strong attention to detail to maintain the integrity and accuracy of large amounts of data.
•Knowledge of inventory control and flow.
•Strong oral and written communication skills. Conveys information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.
•Must enjoy detail-oriented work, be organized, and have proven time management skills.
•Experience utilizing SAP or another ERP software required including warehouse management systems (WMS).
•Ability to work well both as an individual and in a team environment.
•Requires standing, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, moving and/or carrying, lifting to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds, climbing, walking, pulling, pushing, use of material handling equipment, grasping, and talking in a production, test and warehouse environment. Hours of work may exceed normal business hours.
